Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the youngest child of four. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for drama and theater at an early stage. The support they provided is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original ambition to be a the first primatologist. The rise of her as an actress in her early years was swift and marked by her early successes. When she finished her education She was a part of the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a career as an actress. Although she studied at the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou is now averse to this upbringing, stating she's not Catholic. She pursued a modelling career alongside her acting career and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Also, she has an intense interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work for the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Her photographs is mainly focused on celebrities and the spotlight. Cameras are focused towards journalists who scrutinized her during her rise to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international acclai the box office and was recognized at award galas across the world. It's the highest-grossing French film in America. Later, in the same year, she was a part of British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
